Driving the Dream
My husband and I started out our marriage driving the dream. In that case, it was driving to Las Vegas (from Ohio) to get married. Doomsayers abounded back then and we had concerned friends and family calling us on his enormous car phone to tell us "it won't last 6 months."
Well, we did it anyway. Drove to Vegas in 3 days, then spent a couple of days in the city before heading north through Utah and Yellowstone National Park. Disaster did strike on that trip, in the form of a pretty severe collision near the tiny town of Gilette, Wyoming.
We survived the crash and the marriage. A few days ago, we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on another driving vacation, one of many we've taken since that fateful trip across the US. As amateur photographers and road trippers, we decided to post our stories (and more importantly our photos) here to share with the world.
